Science holds the key to all kinds of hidden mysteries. All you need to do is to learn a few simple rules about it, and you can become a scientific explorer.

The great thing about science is that you can actually prove whatever it is you’ve discovered by using it. Science is a way of answering questions like the ones that begin “I wonder why?” or “I wonder what would happen if?”

You can find the answers to these kinds of questions. You can find answers to all kinds of questions about people and things, both. What you have to do is learn just a few short rules, practice them, and there you have something called the scientific method. With this method, you’ll have attained the key to solving all kinds of riddles and to exploring millions of mysteries and their solution. Then you will be the person many people, including you yourself, will want to know.

Now what are some of these mysteries? Well, look at a blade of grass, for instance. Could you grow green and straight like that? Obviously not. What is it that makes a blade of grass green? What makes it stand up tall? How many different kinds of grasses are there? Where do they grow? Things like this are what science is about. You could also ask questions about the person asking the questions. You could ask, what is his body made of? How many bones does that body have? Why does she like ice cream so much? Do other people enjoy science as much as they do? Why?

The best way to begin anything is at the beginning, of course. That is where you should begin as you learn to use the key of the scientific method. It is made up of three simple rules. They are: 1) Make up a story that you think might explain something. 2) Gather information to support this story. 3) If the story can be repeated by others, and the information that results is still the same, then you’ve found an hypothesis. This is almost a truth, and a very good thing to scientists.

When you gather the information, you’re generally doing this with a scientific experiment. It’s scientific because the experiment is done with things you can measure. For right now, let’s say that we have to be able to see them. When you think about these things, you have to think about them in ways other people can also think. Seriously. This is called being reasonable. What that means for you in this case, is that you are looking for the reasons that something is happening so that you can explain it to others.

Once you think you have that reason, you make up a sentence about it. Then see if that sentence stays true if you or someone else does the same experiment. If it does, then you have what I mentioned earlier, the hypothesis. This hypothesis is then tested with the scientific method until it becomes a theory. The theory is tested until it becomes a law. If you can come up with a hypothesis, which will stay true, then, my friend, you are on your way to a magnificent world of discovery.
